Best Management Practices
Any piece of land that has been cleared of its natural vegetation, whether by fire, flood, or man, will leave the topsoil exposed to the often damaging effects of erosion. Without the presence of plants and roots to lock soil into place, erosion caused by heavy rain and wind will, in time, lead to drought, water pollution, and weakened soil quality.
At Cedar Creek, we supply and install a variety of anti-erosion products in order to prevent the long-term stabilization of the topsoil after grading operations and brush clearing. These products provide immediate protection from surface erosion, help retain soil moisture, and promotes the seed germination that reestablishes the future growth of vegetation at the site.
